This is a work of the Lord. When I picked this Saturday I had NO idea what the date was or even the month for that matter. My world stopped on March 1 at 6:35 am. When I realized the date I immediately felt God's hand in my decision because that date marks the anniversary date when Bill started his historic Appalachian thur-hike in 1990 and the anniversary date of his sobriety.
For family and friends in the south we are planning a memorial service in Birmingham, Alabama in June. The date will be announced within the next couple of weeks.

While profoundly blind, Bill perceives much more than many of us because it is the Kingdom of God that he sees so clearly, and it is this glorious kingdom that he so clearly interprets to his audience.
A story of a man in darkness, redeemed, reconciled and restored by a merciful loving God who reaches to the deepest of depths to save a lost sinner.
Bill's message focuses on the value he places on his Christian faith and how it has guided his life and career. Just as he has to have faith in his service dog to guide him, Bill's faith in God is even stronger and so evident in his life.
